A successful background is a vital asset for any emerging company. Such is true for Propel Energy Group LLC, USA.
Propel Energy Group’s origins trace back to 2002 when its parent company, Propetrol Limited, began as a supplier of gasoline and other petroleum products to the African market. Propetrol’s modest beginnings were founded on solid values of service, integrity, professionalism, respect, innovation, and teamwork. These core values shaped and guided Propetrol’s early operations, thus opening the way for steady, successful growth.
Propetrol’s key strengths formed a solid foundation for the company’s expansion. One strength is Propetrol’s consistent delivery of high-quality services and products to its customers. The company’s dedication to service excellence led to well-established connections with several major oil corporations (BP, Shell, ExxonMobil, Chevron) and other leading oil traders (Glencore, Trafigura, and Vitol). Propetrol stays aligned with the needs of its customers by maintaining strong client- service relationships.
Over the years, Propetrol’s oil trading activity has gathered momentum. Sales of refined fuels increased not only in the African market but also in the Arab Gulf, India, and European markets. Thus, Propetrol ably emerged as an international trader by expanding its safe and timely delivery of products at a competitive price.
Uncompromising customer service, technical expertise, commitment to safety, and sustainable operations all drove Propetrol’s aggressive expansion. The company then became a leading player in the oil and gas industry.
As the company acquired more products, adding company-owned storage facilities allowed it to expand its client services. Then, onshore and offshore exploration activities were soon underway. Thus, the pathway opened for the emergence of a new African-based entity, Propel Ltd, to handle direct fuel trading with refineries.
Propetrol’s ambition for large-volume trade created a demand for expanding Propel Ltd, a company formed to be the trading arm of Propetrol Ltd. With the advantage of Propetrol’s renowned reputation for service integrity, the new company, Propel Ltd, quickly achieved accreditation with major oil companies in Africa (Phillips 66, ExxonMobil, Chevron, and Shell).
Soon, gas stations sprung up bearing the Propel Ltd trademarked logo. The new company met the petroleum demand by delivering products from vessels. Six company-owned vessels of different capacities now operate in the West Africa region.
Propel Energy Group USA is prepared for supply and trading of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) to the Americas and South Africa.
Building on the strength and experience of the parent company, Propel Energy Group plans to begin chartering LPG vessels to serve the eastern and western coasts of North and South America and Mexico. Additional plans include company-owned vessels operating from the USA, beginning with supply and trading of LPG throughout the western hemisphere. Our operations would then extend to South Africa and the Asian markets.
Our plans for regular propane trading and shipping will expand the use of clean-burning energy to power electric grids in South Africa and Asia.
